My Sony Camcorder Says that The Battery is Dead?
I can't figure out how to charge the battery. It only came with a plug that charges the camera, but not the battery. Is the battery replaceable?

When you plug in the camera to charge it, you're actually charging the battery. Yes, you can remove the battery from the back of the camera very easily to replace it, but if the camera is new, you probably don't need a new battery. Just plug the AC adapter into your camera, and the battery will charge up.
Look at "Getting Started | Step 1: Charging the battery pack" in the manual. It should be around page 15.
